Our Coronavirus Update

Our Coronavirus Update

Hi Everyone,

It certainly has been a challenging week.
Like everyone in the country, we too have been affected by Coronavirus and our immediate focus has been and will continue to be the health of our employees and customers.
We wanted to get in touch to advise on measures The Kitchen Partners have put in place to ensure we are able to continue to support you. We also ask our clients to continue to follow the latest government  guidelines and medical advice.

Our showroom remains open and we have increased the frequency of our showroom cleaning, visitors to the showroom can access hand sanitisers and wash hands with soap and water.

Aside from the potential impact to us, we are united with all other local businesses that have been personally and economically hit by this pandemic and will be doing everything we can to support our staff and stay in touch with you.

Social distancing and the encouragement to stay at home means the kitchen, now more than ever will be the physical hub of the household, so moving forward we are looking at inventive ways of bringing custom kitchen design direct to your desktop, as well keeping you uplifted as we make our way through this.

We will continue to work with you on projects, either personally, via phone or email and we now offer a remote kitchen design service. So please call us to discuss the best way we can work together.
We thank you for your support during these difficult times, we will continue to monitor our service levels and inform you of any changes.

Best wishes

Clinton and Fiona

Visiting our Kitchen Showroom on Whiteladies Road | The Kitchen Partners

Demo Kitchen From Our Whiteladies Road Kitchen ShowroomWhat are the benefits of visiting a kitchen showroom?

  1. Traditional kitchens and Contemporary kitchens

Some people may visit a showroom and know exactly how they want their new kitchen to look down to the very smallest detail. However, it’s more often than not that those visiting are at the earliest stages of the design process; with some still unsure if a traditional-looking kitchen or something slightly more contemporary is preferred. Visiting our kitchen showroom allows you to see both traditional kitchens and contemporary kitchens side by side to really get a feel for what design style best suits you.

  1. Range of kitchen appliances

Our kitchen showroom on Whiteladies Road boasts some of the most innovative kitchen appliances to come and see in action. Anything from self-cleaning ovens, induction hobs and coffee machines, to extractor units with built-in photosynthesizing lights which enable plant and herb growth. It’s important to explore the range of kitchen appliances available to know what you prefer in terms of lifestyle, design and budget.

  1. Latest design trends

It’s all well and fine flicking through glossy magazines admiring the latest design trends, but a trip to our showroom on Whiteladies road allows you to experience them in the flesh. We have 5 stunning display kitchens which represent some of the most popular design styles and trends available. Our kitchen displays range from sleek industrial to dark contemporary, classic traditional shaker or a timeless white handleless kitchen. Our most recent display kitchen install is a modern take on the industrial kitchen. The kitchen is designed with German kitchen supplier Brigitte’s furniture, featuring their handleless New York range door in finish Industrial Grey. A silver-grey metallic-looking coloured kitchen, paired perfectly with a Dekton worktop in finish Lunar, also from their industrial range. The Dekton Lunar worktop ticks every box when it comes to the wow factor – a reinterpretation of conventional cement inspired by industrial aesthetics.

Should I bring anything with me to the showroom?

Firstly, it’s important to visit any kitchen showroom with an open mind. Visiting our kitchen showroom allows you to speak directly to design experts, gaining ideas and insight for what could work best for your kitchen project. That being said, the main thing you need to bring to the kitchen showroom are those making the decisions throughout the design process. However, if it’s not too much of an inconvenience then it’s also helpful to bring along plans, preferably digital. This allows a designer to see you for an initial design consultation there and then if they have the availability, which is great if you’re eager to get the ball rolling. In addition to plans, it’s advisable to start creating either digital or physical mood boards of kitchens, appliances, colours and textures you like so you can discuss these on your visit.

Kitchen Fitters Bristol

Kitchen Fitters Bristol

Kitchen Fitters Bristol | The Kitchen Partners

If you’re looking at having a new kitchen built for your home, there are a few things to keep in mind which will be helpful. The design process is the first phase which is followed by fitting and installation. Kitchen fitters are a vital part of any kitchen project. They are the team that will fit/install your kitchen making your dream into a reality. Without a professional team of kitchen fitters, building a kitchen wouldn’t be possible!

In this article, we’ll cover why finding a professional kitchen fitter is important. It might be obvious to some but we want to inform our readers about any shortcomings they might face.

Working with professionals:

When it comes designing and fitting a kitchen, you can’t lose out on quality! Working with sub-par kitchen fitters is a road to disaster. They won’t have the same care and respect that a professional who cares about their trade would have. If you’re trying to build your dream kitchen, you should give it the time and effort it warrants. Rushing the design or installation process isn’t something you want to do. This is especially true considering the investment that you’re making.

Professional kitchen fitters receive training of the highest standard. This ensures that they’re fitting your kitchen with the care it deserves. We know that people want perfection when it comes to building their kitchen. This is why we strive to provide nothing but the best to you, our client.

A kitchen fitter will be working so many different aspects that you wouldn’t consider. From the electrical fittings to the tiles & splashbacks, kitchen fitters handle a lot! It’s this attention to detail that you need when you’re having your bespoke kitchen built. This is something you wouldn’t get if you were to use a sub-par kitchen fitter service.

Finding a professional kitchen fitter:

There is a range of ways you can find the best kitchen fitter for your kitchen. Working with a company that has been in the trade for years is always a good idea. For a start, they will be working with a reliable team of fitters. This is prevalent if you consider the time they’ve spent serving the area. Local kitchen companies should be your go-to when you’re looking at a kitchen fitter.

Reviews, testimonials and case studies are also a good way to find a kitchen fitter. Previous jobs they’ve done is a good sign of the quality of work they’re producing. You can take a look at testimonials from your chosen fitter to see if they’re positive or negative.

Independent kitchen fitters aren’t recommended for a few reasons. The first is that they won’t be able to provide the kitchen itself. This complicates the kitchen fitting process as you’ll have to source the kitchen. They often won’t be able to provide an in-depth consultation on your design. This is the difference between a studio and a kitchen provider. A dedicated kitchen studio will take your design a step further. This a must if you’re looking at renovating your kitchen. Your average pre-built kitchen isn’t refined whatsoever. They are pre-built to specifications that are often incorrect for your space. Bespoke kitchen design is best acquired from a reputable source who will do things right.

Working with The Kitchen Partners:

We at The Kitchen Partners believe in providing stunning kitchens to those who want them. Our team hold nothing back when it comes to the quality and delivery of service. We want our customers to expect nothing but the best because that’s all we offer! Working with us ensures that you’re given a professional service that takes care of you. From designing your dream kitchen to manufacturing and fitting it, we’ll do it all! Working with a kitchen company direct will allow us to manage the project well. Not having to depend on external providers is a breath of fresh air for most people who want a new kitchen. We can also provide accurate costs as we’ll be the sole provider of your kitchen.

If you’re looking at building the perfect kitchen for your home, get in touch with us today. Call us on – 0117 9466 433 or visit our page on Kitchen Fitter Bristol

The English Revival of Traditional Kitchens: Great British Bake Off

The English Revival of Traditional Kitchens: Great British Bake Off

Although our great British summer weather came to an abrupt end over a month ago. The new series of Great British Bake Off is still well underway in true British spirit! Undoubtedly, There may have also been a few changes in the tent (we still miss you Mel, Sue & Mary) but the old GBBO magic is still alive, kicking us into our kitchens to bake!

There has always been something other than the sugary-tears, sweat, and flour being whisked together by the contestants, that draw our attention whilst watching Great British Bake Off. Above all, what really makes us crave more is the show’s English revival of traditional kitchens. Therefore, this continues to make us feel like we should put on our smartest apron and get our hands working into some (clean) flour! We know kitchen envy is a massive thing, especially when watching GBBO. So, we’ve put together the perfect guide for your very own traditional kitchen.

The Power of Pastels

Firstly, it’s all about the pastel colour schemes and contrasting textures for that cosy GBBO kitchen style. As a result, generously applying these soft and soothing accents of colour, will most definitely please the eye. Complementing those delicious cakes that are sure to be created in the inviting space. Furthermore, consider soft-pastel colour schemes, via appliances and kitchen cabinets. Secondly, The kitchen island could also be an influence on your pastel quest. Recently becoming a fundamental staple to any domestic and social kitchen space. In short, we’d say think of calm light-sage kitchen cabinets. Softly contrasting undertones complemented with a natural wooden workstation. Lastly, pairing this palette with a marbled-effect Silestone worktop proves well, just like fresh dough!

Mereway Kitchens

English Revival

At the beginning of the summer (pre-GBBO), The Kitchen Partners welcomed a new supplier of British kitchens. If you adore the traditional character of the Bake Off’s kitchen, then definitely check out our studio on Whiteladies Road. We have now completed the new Mereway display, and it’s looking lovely!

Mereway kitchens are bespoke and handmade with the finest quality materials. The kitchens are hand painted using traditional in-frame craftsmanship. With a traditional solid wood, hand-painted kitchen from Mereway, you can be sure of one thing, your kitchen will be built to the very highest standards by British craftsmen. Priding themselves on a craft exceptionally well executed.

Technical Challenge

Forget the marquee, what we love about traditional kitchens is how you can achieve that classic style, perfectly fitting for Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian homes. Which is popular with so many of our customers, but yet they can incorporate the most up-to-date technological advances in the appliances.

If you’ve been paying as much attention as us, on the kitchen features on Great British Bake Off, you would have noticed that the oven doors suddenly disappear once they’ve been opened. This is no camera generated trickery. Neff has an oven they call ‘Slide&Hide’, which is the only oven door that slides away under the oven cavity. As a result, providing easier access to the oven, basting, tasting and monitoring your bakes. A genius solution for sure! It’s also packed full of technical features handy to any keen baker. For example, dough proving settings and specific bread baking modes!

Upgrade your traditional kitchen with another ultimate GBBO product from Neff, a warming drawer. Perfect for keeping those chocolate-filled brownies warm for your tea party later! In addition, it’s another great place for leaving the dough to rise.

Neff kitchens

Showstopper!

Once you’ve mastered the Great British Bake Off chic and charming kitchen design. Lastly, don’t forget the final touching features! From the gracious village-fair feeling bunting, pastel colour-organised ingredient jars to a porcelain vase with freshly cut flowers on your kitchen island. Finally, embrace the traditional kitchen style! The show’s English country charm is one of the most desirable qualities of a homely and cosy kitchen, to make a house become a warm and welcoming home. That’s all from us. On your marks, get set… BAKE!

Remodel Your Kitchen For The New Year Ahead

Remodel Your Kitchen For The New Year Ahead

Planning ahead of your kitchen remodel

It’s never too early to start planning for your new kitchen remodel. Therefore, if you’re intending to change the internal configuration or add a new extension, it’s essential that you consider the kitchen as a central element of the project. So often a slight modification to the layout can make significant improvements to the kitchen and the overall flow of the space. In addition, it gives us the opportunity to provide you with an electrical and plumbing plan at an early stage. This prevents any issues and additional costs once the building work has started. As a result, we can fully cost any design – allowing an early input into your overall budget which always helps.

‘The Kitchen is the heart of the house. Therefore, every design decision taken should always take this into consideration. Thinking of the kitchen as an afterthought will always end in a compromised design’ says Fiona and Clinton Patey of The Kitchen Partners.

Think about your requirements

Deciding on the layout of a bespoke kitchen remodel will be one of, if not, the toughest aspects of a home renovation. Not considering everything in the initial planning stages can prove costly, and time-consuming. At The Kitchen Partners Design Studio, we like to get hands on and if you work with us. We like to be there right from the beginning to support the architects and builders with creating a space that’s right for you.

Firstly, establish what you want from the space. Think about important requirements, start gathering concepts from home renovation magazines, bookmarking kitchen remodelling websites and seeking inspiration on Pinterest. The Kitchen Partners are a design-led kitchen remodel studio. So, the look and feel of the kitchen is very high on the list of priorities. However, we will always advise a client if the design moves too far away from being functional. It’s important for us to understand how the kitchen will be used. Is this a family kitchen, a kitchen for entertaining, or for a keen chef or maybe all three?

‘Open plan living continues to grow in popularity because of the social, practical and flexible space it provides’ reveals Harriet and Warren from Modern Eco. The kitchen is the hub of the household and when combined with open living has to meet many, often contrasting needs. The first step towards establishing a versatile kitchen remodel and dining space, is to visit The Kitchen Partners Design Studio. Here we can support you in the progress of your kitchen renovation design.

Don’t forget about the practical things!

As mentioned above, planning ahead is fundamental to ensure practical kitchen design elements are considered. The location of the hob needs to be well thought out as external extraction requires access to an external wall. Although, modern recycling extraction methods are very effective. Visit our showroom to see one of Falmec’s new range of cooker hoods, Circle.Tech. With a revolutionary system integrating extraction and filtering into a single unit. This allows maximum efficiency whilst not compromising on space in the kitchen. Placing Falmec’s cooker hoods at the forefront of air purification technology.

Unlike traditional cooker hoods, Circle.Tech filtering units develop horizontally rather than vertically. The out-flowing air is conveyed through a filtering unit surrounding the motor and evenly distributed. Given its circular shape, the filtering surface reaches the maximum extension, thus achieving excellent performances. In terms of suction capacity, top filtering results and extreme quietness. Indeed, balanced distribution of out-flowing air reduces turbulence and, consequently, the noise produced by the operating hood.

Where to position the sink is often a hotly debated topic. Historically, before the widespread use of the dishwasher, they were often placed under the window. Today, where most things go in the dishwasher, this is less relevant and can often find a home in a far more convenient location. Sinks on an island should only be considered as a last resort. Why spoil the centre piece of your beautiful new kitchen with a permanent display of dirty or even clean dishes!

“Visualisation is daydreaming with a purpose.” – Bo Bennett

Visualising your kitchen remodel by seeing 3D designs can really help with the design, establishing any potential problems before they make it to the real life kitchen. We use state-of-the-art 3D rendering software so that the client can see the kitchen from various angles. Its flexibility means that we can easily amend all aspects, showing different combinations of kitchen door, worktop, floor and wall colours.  Not only do we design your kitchen, but we also like to incorporate the whole living space. Therefore, the kitchen can be assessed in conjunction with the dining and possibly seating area if it’s part of an open plan environment.

We also encourage our clients to stand in the space and imagine they are stood in the various zones. This helps to bring the space to life and ensures they are happy all the way through the designing process.

‘Everything happens in the kitchen. Life happens in the kitchen.’

Those continuous daydreams of that perfect kitchen may appear evermore distant, but the reality of your dream kitchen renovation is closer than you may think. Here at The Kitchen Partners Design Studio we offer a free, in-home consultation to make your kitchen renovation ideas come true. We will discuss your options and give advice on the most efficient use of your space. With timeless products, your kitchen is certain to be beautiful for generations to come.

Our core value is a clear focus on complete customer satisfaction. We have a keen eye for up-to-the minute design, extensive product knowledge, innovative spatial awareness and a flair for interior design ideas. It is these values and skills that will make your visit to our showroom a worthwhile and rewarding experience. Take a look at some of our recent kitchen remodel projects here.
