Cool and cosy modern kitchen

Clinton’s customers were looking for a cool and cosy modern kitchen, that maintained character and warmth. The large space gave Clinton a great opportunity to create a really family-centric kitchen, that facilitates socialising, as much as it does cooking. In order to meet the brief, a kitchen island is always going to be the best solution, and having a breakfast bar is a must. The wood is raised and segregates the eating area, giving some definition and adding something a bit different to the island unit. In addition, having seating run along two sides of the island, is even more conducive to a sociable atmosphere.

A white, handleless kitchen style is not going anywhere any time soon. As a timeless classic, white is a wise long-term choice for this large family kitchen. Furthermore, the warmth of the oak breakfast bar, and simple, contemporary bar stools prevent a sterile feel, it also gives the design a Scandinavian touch. The open oak shelf in the island and the fun Portuguese inspired tiled splashback, both add the family’s personality to the space. As a result, this will never be a space they will grow tired of.

Having hanging pendant lights in your kitchen appears to be a growing trend in kitchen design. As a result people are often opting for these over standard lights or spotlights, due to the huge visual impact they can have on the overall finish of the design. That being said, simplicity is key when it comes to choice of pendant lighting. Ensuring the lights are an asset to the finished kitchen, rather than a distraction. This kitchen design hits the nail on the head with a striking combination of concrete and warm white light, which undoubtedly adds to the cool and cosy modern feel throughout the finished design. After visiting several other suppliers in our area The Kitchen Partners were clearly in a different league. The design experience was excellent and it was never a problem making changes or looking at different options. The planning and installation was superb, the kitchen was part of a complete house renovation and extension so having a flexible, well organised and communicative installation planning team took away a huge amount of stress. The actual installation was carried out very professionally and we couldn’t have been happier with the end result. Highly recommended.
