New Kitchen Display – and Supplier!

Whats new?

This gloriously sunny month, we will be giving a warm welcome to a new British supplier of ours, Mereway. We are currently under way with the new Mereway display going into our studio on Whiteladies Road now. Even with it still a work-in-progress it’s already looking lovely. With lots going on here, we are all eager to see the finished masterpiece and excited to start working with the beautiful Mereway product.

As an independent business we have the freedom to use whichever suppliers we think are the best for our customers. Introducing Mereway will allow us flexibility with the more traditional styles, which are having a definite resurgence. We also buy directly from our suppliers which means you get the best price possible.

What have we gone for?

Our brand spanking new display will be an In-Frame panelled door kitchen, falling under Mereway’s Signature range. Using colours Pebble Grey with Diamond Grey as an accent. We are noticing a real increase in the trend of using two complementary or contrasting colours within one kitchen right now. We think it’s a great way to add character without making a kitchen design too ‘busy’.

This is our working display, one we use thoroughly every single day. Therefore, for a worktop we need something tough. We are putting in a Silestone quartz worktop. Sturdy and elegant, it’s the perfect kitchen to finish off the traditional look.

For the sink, we are going with Silestone quartz integrity sink under mount hob. In finish Lagoon (same as worktop).

What we love about traditional kitchens is how you can achieve that classic style. Perfectly fitting for Georgian or Edwardian homes which so many of our customers have, and yet incorporate the most up-to-date technical advances in the details and appliances. As a result, for our display we have gone for another instant boiling water tap by Quooker. We loved it in our last display so much! It really is a luxury suitable for any style kitchen, and once you’ve lived with it, it’s something you don’t want to live without. Not having a kettle is also a great space saver for smaller kitchens.

Come see for yourself

But rather than take our word for it, come down to The Kitchen Partners at 102 Whiteladies Road and have a look for yourself. Completion will be mid June. So pop in then to see how far it has come from a hole in the showroom in the space of just 2 weeks!

If traditional isn’t for you, and you have a love for the contemporary, don’t fret… We work with two suppliers who manufacture much more modern styles as well, Leicht and Brigitte. Both coming from Germany (they are seasoned experts of the simple, sleek aesthetic) so ask us about our kitchens for the modernist and we’ll be happy to help.
